Texas House Bill 3846 & Senate Bill 2144 aim to cripple reserve officers.

Similar to Indiana House Bill 1186, the bills would highly curtail off-duty employment, effectively financially crippling most reserves since they are uncompensated while on duty.

They aim to prohibit reserves from working road details, escorts that extend outside a county line, the use of agency vehicles while being compensated, and continue to keep reserves from pensions and other forms of in-house compensation.
